The Factors Contributing to Wastage of Instructional Time as Perceived by Principals of Popular Schools in Derna

The aim of this study was to identify the factors contributing to time wastage in the utilization of instructional time in the fields of school administration and teaching as perceived by the principals of preparatory and secondary schools in the popular city of Derna. To achieve these objectives and others, a questionnaire was developed, validated, and administered to a sample of principals participating in a training course aimed at enhancing efficiency at Asmaa Girls' Secondary School during the second half of the academic year 2009-2010. The sample consisted of 60 principals, both male and female. Various statistical methods suitable for the nature of this study were employed to analyze the sample's responses and achieve its objectives.
