The innovative approach of Ibn Malik in the field of Arabic grammar divided the subject into chapters and sections, making it one of the most modern methods of composition. This is evident in his book Al-Tasheel, especially. Ibn Malik is considered a leading authority in the study of Arabic language sciences. Among his authored books are explanations of Al-Kafiya Al-Shafiya and Al-Alfiya, which are among the most important works. The predominant characteristic of Ibn Malik's style is simplicity and facilitation in all his opinions and approaches. He also distinguished himself by blending the opinions of famous grammatical schools. As for his sources, he derived them from the Quran, as well as from the various recitations because recitation is a Sunnah (tradition). He also relied on the noble Hadith, which he employed as a linguistic tool. Additionally, he considered poetry as a neutral ground between the Kufi and Basri schools. All of these points have been supported by evidence. It is worth noting that Ibn Malik had unique opinions that set him apart from others. He also had a position regarding terminologies that reflected his independent and innovative approach, breaking free from the idolization of the past.
