This research examines the health conditions in the Benghazi region in Libya during the period from 1943 to 1951. Its aim is to conduct a historical and analytical study of this aspect. The research reviews the factors that affected the health situation in the region and evaluates the healthcare services provided to the population and their effectiveness. The research questions the adequacy of these services and whether they meet the required standards, especially in light of Libya's poverty and reliance on foreign aid, as well as the fact that the British administration was temporarily responsible for the region and not obligated to establish new institutions, as the Libyan territories were properties of the defeated state (Italy) and had not been disposed of yet. The research focuses on the importance of shedding light on the social aspects in this early period of building modern Libya, relying on reports from the United Nations Technical Assistance Mission to Libya, which were made available as a result of conducted research and studies. This research is considered an important reference for understanding the health situation in the Benghazi region and its development during the mentioned period, and it relies on the historical analytical approach to collect and analyze information to reach important facts.
