The study aimed to shed light on examples of military buildings in eastern Libya, located south of the Green Mountain on the semi-desert road characterized by the presence of a number of forts to secure the convoys and pilgrims coming from Morocco to the Islamic East. The descriptive and analytical method was used to compare two models: Boksala fort in Tacnes and Rouibet fort in Al-Kharouba. The study examined the similarities and differences between them in terms of architectural location, planning and building materials, with a comparison with the forts in eastern Libya from the same historical period. Despite the neglect that afflicted these forts, which led to the demolition of their internal walls, they still retain some of their war features, and one of the most important results of the study is to clarify those features such as walls, towers, trenches and trenches. In addition to the fact that the castles are somewhat different from the rest of the forts of Jabal Al Akhdar.
