This study aims to explore the nature and role of field training in the curricula of library and information science programs in Libyan universities. Field training is designed to provide students with practical experience in their specialized fields and achieve various objectives such as gaining confidence and developing practical skills. However, there are challenges in providing sufficient field training opportunities for students in Libyan universities. The study focuses on the distribution of training courses in academic programs and analyzes the problems and challenges faced by students in this process.
