Traffic driver culture and its effects on public safety
A field study on a sample of Benghazi residents

This research proceeds to achieve two basic goals. The first is to identify the reality of traffic culture for Libyan citizens, and the second is to identify the impact of this culture on the public safety of society in terms of the size of accidents and traffic violations and their impact on public property and the citizens themselves. The questionnaire as a tool for collecting data from a sample of 91 citizens from the city of Benghazi, with a stability rate of 71% for the traffic culture measure and 84% honesty. Committing violations, speeding, colliding with people and property, and exposure to traffic accidents in the effectiveness of responding to the public safety variable.
