Popular participation and its role in achieving local development

The study presents a conceptual framework concerned with a fundamental issue, which is the issue of popular participation of the people of certain areas in the Green Mountain in Libya, as it is a basic and important pillar in the process of development sustainability, given that human development is intended or concerned, among other things, as an approach to comprehensive human development, and within the framework of Its preoccupation: The study focused on three basic issues: popular participation and environmental orientation, knowing the extent of the social, cultural and economic feasibility of this popular participation, and the relationship of all of this to the political orientation and will of the state. By relying on a descriptive and analytical approach, the study concluded with a number of results, the most important of which is: Involving the efforts of the population in the process of popular participation can have a pivotal and prominent role in achieving the efforts and attempts of the state to achieve sustainable development.
