Poetic text, title, narrow textAbstract
This article seeks to examine the relationship between the title and the poetic text in Yati al-Aashiqoun Ilaik (The Lovers Come to You), a poetry collection by Muhammad al-Fayturi. The study is conducted through two approaches: first, by exploring the possible connections between the collection’s main title and the titles of its individual poems; and second, by investigating the semantic fields of the title’s vocabulary within the poems of the collection. The analysis also extends to what we call the “narrow text,” namely, the title at the level of the poem’s own structure—whether the poem consists of a single title divided into several numbered sections, or into multiple segments separated by visual semiotic markers.
