It employs the Uses and Gratifications Theory and emphasizes a reader-centered approach in designing reading materials. Through the analysis of available literature and previous research, the study reveals that factors influencing job choice include personal preferences, availability of opportunities and professional benefits, technology, and social and economic changes. The findings highlight the importance of designing reading materials that cater to readers' needs and aspirations. This research contributes to a strong theoretical framework for workforce planning and can inform improvements in employee recruitment policies and workforce planning strategies to meet the needs of individuals and organizations in the current job market.
