The increase in the use of smartphones has formed a new audience for the media, in addition to its impact on journalists as a means that has its advantages in journalistic work, has entered without permission into the world of journalism and brought about an unprecedented revolution, and it has become a complete institution for the press industry. Based on the above, this study aims to find out the needs and motivations of Sudanese journalists to use smart phone applications in journalistic work, determine the benefits achieved from their use, and present the most prominent problems they encountered during use.
