Factors Affecting the Adoption of Communication Technology in Media Education
A Field Study on a Sample of Students and Member Staff of Media Faculties in Libya

This study sought to identify the factors that affect the adoption of communication technology in media education by students and member staff of media faculties in Libya, in terms of the extent of their use of communication technologies in education, as well as their knowledge and acceptance of these technologies. In addition, to knowing the techniques that are utilized more than others, also the motives for those uses. To achieve the objectives of the study, the descriptive approach was employed, besides the questionnaire as a tool of quantitative methods was distributed to a sample of media students and member staff in Libya. The results showed that the postgraduate students in media faculties in Libya are the most using communication technology, and they have a high level of knowledge of this technology, they use it to develop their educational skills. Furthermore, it found that despite the common use of communication technologies among the study sample, however, the achieved benefit was scarce.
