Abstract

The importance of corporate governance has increased recently in most economies of both developed and developing countries due to the increase in the percentage of violations and financial and moral violations in the major financial institutions which led to the occurrence of various financial scandals, especially in developed countries. The importance of this study is the need of the companies in the industrial sector in Libya to raise the level of performance in relation to the application of the principles of corporate governance, and this offer includes several demands are the beginning of the concept and the importance of governance and its determinants in addition to its principles. The second and final requirement, we touched on the elements and mechanisms of the application of governance with He mentioned the experience of the most prominent countries in this field with some suggestions and recommendations that would help to make the most of them in the Libyan business environment. The study has reached several conclusions, including the need to issue an integrated guide to the principles of corporate governance in Libya and the importance of applying these principles in accounting disclosure and activating audit committees by establishing a clear mechanism for monitoring and following up the implementation of corporate governance principles and principles.
