Abstract

The study of ancient Arabic dialects is of great importance in modern linguistic study. Through studying them, we can identify the development in the meaning of words and know the connotations of vocabulary, and the different meanings they convey depending on the different environments. We find out the way the Arab tribes used vocabulary differently sometimes, and by studying the Arabic dialects we can Knowing a large proportion of modern dialects and their origins in ancient dialects, as well as knowing the linguistic map of dialect distribution, the spread of Arab tribes, their migration, and their places of residence, ancient and modern, and studying the different dialects in one language helps us understand the nature of that language, and we must point out that the ancient linguists did not introduce the dialects. Ancient Arabic in different eras provides a detailed presentation to know the expressive and formal characteristics of those dialects.
