Abstract

Knowledge theory is one of the branches of philosophy that examines the origin, structure and curricula of knowledge, and is concerned with answering a number of questions. How do we know? Do you know the limits? What is the reliability of our knowledge? The theory of knowledge of the philosopher is his opinion on the interpretation of knowledge whatever the known truth. It is known that the theory of knowledge as a specialized philosophical research was dealt with only in modern philosophy, although its subjects, curricula and main public trends have been searched in the past in the history of philosophy, but it was looking within other topics. Looking at Islamic thought, we find that the issue of knowledge was one of the main topics that Muslims took care of. Ibrahim Madkour says: Islamic philosophy searched in the theory of knowledge, and it separated the soul and the mind, the innate and the acquired, the right and the error, the suspicion and certainty. Consequently, this research aims to study the origins and their relationship to the theory of knowledge of Mu'tazila.
