Abstract

A person is characterized by his instinct with his love for survey in connection with the world in which he lives, as he yearns to know what places are and in similar or different, and how people are in these places and what are their culture and civilization, and in our world today are higher levels of education with the effective influence of the media and transportation facilities This made travel at the hands of hundreds of millions, as travel is a subject of excitement and attractiveness. When we think about people who travel to a specific place they enjoy watching them while they are on vacation in a good time and spend their free time to take advantage of it in different sports, they simply enjoy the new environment that they visit, If we look at this topic with more than more, then we think and talk about tourism. The importance of tourism comes as it has become one of the most important activities generating financial returns and contributing to global trade, but there are those who consider it among the future industries in addition to the space industries and electronics, and if it is added to it the concept of sustainability, which means practicing tourism while preserving its resources and the interests of the residents of the tourist purpose areas from For future generations. The research aims to diagnose the foundations of sustainable heritage tourism in the Sousse region and the most important conditions for their development through the development mechanisms and strategies used in heritage tourism to ensure its continued economic, social and environmental returns and reduce their costs.
