Abstract

Our Arabic language is full of many terms, and during my study, the term (neutral) was mentioned, including neutral in definition and indefiniteness, which is the middle degree between them. They were added to knowledge, and as for the research subject, it is gender-neutral, that is, masculine and feminine, and it is neither masculine nor feminine, or it is the middle degree between masculinity and femininity. This study aims to shed light on the term, its definition, meaning and manifestations in other languages, the position of grammarians on what is outside the division of masculine and feminine, and how they justified and interpreted what contradicts the division, and our presentation of the views of grammarians in the neutral between its supporter in the Arabic language and its opposition and rejection of it, as the language is divided into Masculine and feminine. There is no third division for them.
