This research titled "From Thumbs Up to What It Implies in Words" examines the concept of multiple meanings in Arabic language and the methods used to mitigate this issue. The study explores the role of semantics in analyzing sentence structure and emphasizes the importance of understanding the intended meaning behind linguistic expressions. It investigates the two types of meanings: emotional and cognitive, and discusses the relationship between words and their referents as well as the characteristics and attributes associated with them. The research highlights the linguistic phenomenon of polysemy in Arabic and presents tools and techniques, such as syntactic signification, that help reduce the ambiguity of multiple meanings. It also addresses the limited coverage of this topic in previous studies and emphasizes the need for comprehensive research in this area
