Abstract

This study is about the role of the Orthodox Church in the religious and political life of medieval Eastern Europe. The aim of this study is to reveal the role of the Orthodox Church in the religious and political life. Besides knowing its religious impact on medieval Eastern Europe. Also, how it had a great impact on political life in medieval Eastern Europe. Through the narrative, analysis and comparison of sources, references and periodicals that have studied the history of the church. Through this study, the results indicate that the Orthodox Church played a major role in the religious and political life of medieval Eastern Europe. The study attributed the reasons for the role of the Orthodox Church in religious and political life in Eastern Europe in the Middle Ages, to the competition of Orthodox and Catholic Churches for the leadership of the Christian world in the Middle Ages. To the conflict between Christian doctrines (Orthodox and Catholic).
