Attitudes of young people towards homosexuality
A field study on a sample of the youth of the city of Benghazi

Homosexuality is a sensitive topic and social phenomenon that is rarely addressed due to the prevailing social attitude towards homosexuals, it is considered the most important factor in the deviation of societies, this study aims to identify the factors leading to homosexuality, as well as to identify the extent of this phenomenon and its consequences in the city of Benghazi. And provide some recommendations that contribute as much as possible to the enrichment of scientific research. The study was applied to a sample of 120 young men (male and female) from Benghazi. The interview form was relied on as a main tool for data collection about this study, and the data was analyzed by the SPSS statistical program. The study concluded a number of results, the most important of which are: by 76% of respondents believe that homosexuality exists in Benghazi, they also believe that the society's view of homosexuals is an inferior view of 85%, homosexuality increases delinquency in Benghazi by 91% as the sample members see, and also that a homosexual person has a lack of religious scruples by 87%, and finally 80% of the sample members believe that watching pornographic films leads to homosexuality.
