Abstract

Water studies have become a primary focus for many local, regional, and global organizations and institutions in our modern era, due to limited water resources and rapid population growth. Consequently, the water issue has become one of the prominent challenges faced by urban planners and administrators. Therefore, this study focuses on the spatial variation in household water consumption in the city of Al Bayda, during the winter and summer seasons, and identifies residential areas that have abundant water supply and consume high quantities of water, as well as areas that suffer from water scarcity and consequently have low household water consumption. The study also aims to identify the factors influencing this spatial variation and whether there are factors that make certain residential areas in Libya fall below the optimal water consumption standard. The study relies on primary and secondary sources, and utilizes appropriate research tools such as surveys, interviews, and statistical analysis programs, aiming to achieve its objectives through analyzing and interpreting the collected data.
