This study focuses on the role of colleges of arts and humanities in the process of economic and social development. The study aims to identify the reasons for the interest of these colleges in the development process in society and the content of the role they play in this context. It also sheds light on the obstacles that hinder colleges of arts from efficiently achieving this role and identifies the necessary requirements to enhance their role in the development process. This study is a contribution to understanding the educational system and analyzing the role of colleges of arts in economic and social development. It provides insights to activate the role of these colleges in society, enhance the development trajectory, and overcome deficiencies in their performance in the future. The study seeks to achieve certain conclusions that contribute to the formulation of policies for colleges of arts to enhance their developmental role and attract attention from decision-makers in educational institutions and the higher education field towards this important topic.
