The personality of Commander Abu Muslim al-Khorasani sparks debate about his origin and how he joined the Abbasids, with opinions differing as to whether he was of Kurdish origin, from the Abbasid dynasty, or Persian. History narrates that he was a slave to Isa and Idris of the Banu Ajl family, and was given the opportunity to serve them due to his astuteness. After Isa's arrest, Abu Muslim served him and caught the attention of the Abbasids with his intelligence, prompting them to invite him to embrace their principles. After Isa's death, Abu Muslim claimed to have been released by him. He then worked in Kufa as a tanner and established relationships with Abbasid preachers in Khorasan. During their visits to their colleagues in prison, they confirmed his connection with them and sent him to Imam Ibrahim in Mecca with a letter indicating his intelligence and loyalty, welcomed by the Imam who then sent him to his followers with a message affirming his virtue and their trust in him.
