This study examines the borrowing of Arabic words by the English language after the spread of Islam and the arrival of Arabs in Spain. English has been influenced by Arabic words in the fields of science and culture, such as geography and music. Arab contributions to mathematics and science were significant, and English faced difficulties in translating unfamiliar words, leading to their adoption as they are. The borrowing process began in the eighth century and increased between the tenth and twelfth centuries. This study highlights the influence of Arabic on English and the historical and cultural connections between the two worlds.
