The phenomenon of informal or slum housing has become a significant issue in many cities, including Al-Bayda, Libya. This research aims to understand the causes behind the spread of informal housing in Al-Bayda and its surroundings. Unlike typical studies on slums, this research focuses on the informal housing constructed by wealthy individuals rather than low-income populations. The study examines the historical context, patterns, and theories related to informal housing, specifically in Al-Bayda. By analyzing the data and findings, the research aims to contribute to the knowledge and understanding of this phenomenon. The study's results can help inform future urban planning and development strategies to address the challenges posed by informal housing
