Manifestations of social stigma among parents of autistic children and the resulting social problems

The current study aims to identify the manifestations of social stigma that parents of autistic children are exposed to and the social problems resulting from social stigma. This study was conducted in the city of Derna (Libya), and the sample consisted of (108) parents of autistic children. Social problems faced by parents of autistic children resulting from social stigma, and the results of the study showed that there is a correlation between the manifestations of social stigma, and social problems on the other hand, and there are no statistically significant differences for the manifestations of social stigma and social problems attributed to the guardian variable.
