Keywords:
educational services, localization coefficient, degree of concentration, spatial distribution, cityAbstract
The study aimed to determine the importance of educational services for schools by measuring the localization coefficients to show the average degree of concentration of schools within the city; also, to identify the locations of the spatial distribution of educational services, both primary and intermediate levels, and the extent of their concentration, using the localization coefficients to identify the relative importance of educational services. Geographical information systems technology was also used to equip data analysis, represented by spatial statistics tools. The study concluded that the distribution and concentration of educational schools in the city of Al-Bayda was related to population factors and transportation methods more than any other factor. Hence, the study reviled that there was a clear shortcoming in terms of quantity and quality in the volume of educational services, identical with the steady growth of the population and its urban expansion
