Abstract

The caliphs, ministers, princes, and notables were interested in Baghdadi society, especially the poor and the common people in particular, and the extent to which the state and individuals contributed to helping the poor in their society, and the means of that aid, which was called public services, and health services were one of the symbols. These are the services that caliphs, sultans, ministers, and others competed to demonstrate and provide to people for free.

The aim of the study is to highlight the role of the Abbasid state and individuals in facilitating health services by establishing fixed and mobile hospitals, as well as distributing medicines to people in seasons of disease spread, epidemics, or other disasters.
