The problem of soil pollution is one of the contemporary environmental problems in the region of Jabel al-Akhder in the north-east of Libya. Therefore, the study relied on its methodology in addition to the sources and references on field study to obtain the necessary information and the sampling of soil and water to assess some types of pollution such as heavy elements, and nitrates, as well as taking photographic photographs and interviews. The study indicated that there were many sources of soil pollution in this region, including air emissions of gases, solid wastes such as household waste, liquid waste, sewage, as well as asphalt, medicines, motor oils, excessive use of fertilizers and chemical pesticides. The study concluded by suggesting some conducts that may contribute to mitigating such environmental problems.
