Calculation of afflux around spur-dikes constructed on rivers with a compound cross-sections

The purpose of this study is, to derive a formula for calculating the quantity of afflux. Which occurs due to contraction after constructing spur-dikes which, are used to defect river banks and coasts from scouring on compound cross-sections using Bernoulli's energy equation, with some assumptions which can be applied while using this equation.
