About the Journal

Al-Mukhtar Journal of Sciences is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published free of charge by Omar Al-Mukhtar University. The journal was founded in 1991 and has been publishing articles in English covering a wide range of research articles, reviews, and case reports in various Medical and Health science fields worldwide. The journal’s electronic version is published quarterly. The journal operates a double-blind peer review process, and the articles are made permanently available free of charge. The journal is funded by the university and does not charge submission or publication fees.

Aims and Scope: Al-Mukhtar Journal of Sciences focuses on publishing high-quality research articles, reviews, and case reports in various Medical and Health science fields such as Pharmacy, Dentistry, Nursing, and Human Biology. The journal welcomes papers on all sub-areas of medical sciences, including (but not limited to) Clinical medicine and medical subspecialties, Psychiatry, Surgery and surgical subspecialties, Anesthesia, Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Community Medicine and Public health, Ophthalmology, Radiology, Dermatology and Venereal diseases, Anatomy, Biochemistry, Histology, Pharmacology, Microbiology and Parasitology, Physiology, Pathology, Cell biology, Molecular biology, Cancer Research, Gene therapy, Immunology, Bioinformatics, Genomics-based Precision Medicine, Experimental Therapeutics, Experimental Medicine, Clinical Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacodynamics, Clinical Toxicology, Drug Safety, Epidemiology, Biopharmaceuticals, industrial pharmaceutics, drug design, Prescribing, and Medical Education.

The journal adheres to a strict review process. To be considered for publication, manuscripts must receive the approval of at least two independent reviewers, followed by the editor.

As an open-access journal, MJSC offers immediate, unrestricted access to the full text of all published content, free of charge to readers and institutions. The users are permitted to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, and link to the articles without any barriers.
