Abstract

The current study aimed to identify the aggressive behavior of mentally disabled students enrolled in mental capacity development centers, and its relationship to the variables: gender, age, date of enrollment in the center, and according to the type of center governmental or private. The study sample was selected by random sampling and consisted of (61) mentally disabled students, (36)  were from Al-Ishraqa Center and (25) from Al-Taqaddum Center. The scale was also used aggressive behavior among mentally disabled children prepared by Daabas (1999), The following statistical methods were also determined: mean,  standard deviation, t-test for one sample and two independent samples, and one-way ANOVA. The results showed the following: There were differences in aggressive behavior among mentally disabled students enrolled in mental capacity development centers in all paragraphs of the scale used, its dimensions, and its total score. The manifestations of aggressive behavior came in order: explicit aggressive behavior, general aggressive behavior, chaotic behavior, and inability to control oneself, while it was found that there were no differences in aggressive behavior among mentally disabled students enrolled in mental capacity development centers according to the variables: gender, age, date of enrollment in the centers, and type of center
