The phenomenon of linking has recently received the attention of researchers, and they have elaborated on it based on their reliance on the descriptive method in studying language, and it has been devoted to independent discussions and studies, and they found in it the most important aspect of what is known as (text grammar) It is a modern expression given to a field of research whose goal is to understand aspects of grammatical coherence, and its influence extends beyond the single sentence to a long or short series of sentences, in order to clarify the links that connect one sentence to another to provide the text with its formal and semantic coherence.
