Accounting Education and Its Role in Developing Accounting Skills

This study aimed to identify the role of accounting education in developing accounting skills for accounting students at Omar Al-Mukhtar University, To achieve this objective researchers, a questionnaire was designed to collect data on the subject of the study and distributed to the study sample, The study followed the descriptive analytical approach, The study reached several results, the most important of which is that the reality of academic accounting education in the Faculty of Economics at Omar Al-Mukhtar University was higher than the average by 69%, while professional accounting education was low by 48%, and the student’s level of accounting skills was average at 66%. The results also showed that there is a role for accounting education, both academic and professional.
