Political participation: its mechanisms and components

The concept of participation is one of the political concepts that have been
associated with the emergence of democratic systems since very old times,
given that participation plays a major role in strengthening the system of
government and confirming its political legitimacy. There are requirements
that enhance the participation of individuals in political life, which are
represented in the following:-
1. A sense of belonging to the homeland, and the feeling of citizens that
their participation in the political, social and economic life of the
community is a duty imposed by membership in this country.
2. Clarity of public policies, which is achieved through good information
about plans and objectives and their compatibility with the needs of
citizens.
